The firm model retains the first generation's +1 material on the reviewer's scale. It feels clean but very stiff, with little stretch. The more deformable body reduces the forward bend and rear obstruction, improving handling. Firm material still surrounds the channel, so this is neither purely liquid enclosure nor necessarily extremely low intensity. The elongated filled body rocks back and forth, making it easier to slip from the grip.
